He’s a fanatic…

Tinker Tailor Soldier SpyLast night I had the privilege of seeing the 2011 remake John le Carré’s fantastic story Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. I found the movie most most enjoyable with plenty of turns and twists and, even at time, humor – though I seemed to be the only one in the theater laughing.  I think Gary Oldman did a wonderful job as George Smiley and I particularly loved the unexpected treat of Benedict Cumberbatch making an appearance (if you haven’t seen the BBC’s new series Sherlock, I highly recommend you check it out).

Make It So

I was beside myself last night to discover that Netflix had added all seven seasons of StarTrek: The Next Generation to on-demand streaming.  This television series is one of the only series that I have ever watched from beginning to end – seven years of committed TV watching.

The paradox of this is that I can, from time to time, be found staying up until 1:00 am to catch the syndicated broadcast of TNG on the local CBS affiliate.  So imagine my glee when I thought that I could get all of my TNG watching in BEFORE the witching hour.  Now imagine my forehead hitting moment realizing that I’d just stayed up until 2:00 am watching on-demand TNG.
